The Maple Trio is Matt Koher, Grover Parido and Doug Sauter, the musical masterminds behind Blueprintmusic. The Trio, whose instrumentation varies on combinations of fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and cello have been widely embraced by the local community.
They have come together with this luxurious infusion of sound that offers a wide range of styles that is sure to please people of all ages. Featured in Nuvo’s Best of 2009 “offering genuine musicianship and a willingness to stretch boundaries, from contemporary classical to nu-grass,” they are sure to make any event a memorable occasion.
Among the extensive list of venues they have debuted are the Indiana State Museum, the Indianapolis Arts Garden, The Palladium, Broadripple Art Fair and the Carmel Art Fair. The Trio has also performed for numerous private events, folk series and house concerts.
With the recent release of their new album Samara the Trio is looking to showcase their original compositions as well as revive arrangements from other musical genres. February 2010 Nuvo highlighted this new release as “skillfully executed” and should not be missed.
